Leadership Giving Society

The Loomis Chaffee Leadership Giving Society recognizes and celebrates donors who make Loomis Chaffee a philanthropic priority. We thank society members for their generous support in 2019–20 and highlight a few examples of how this support has made an impact on campus today.

  • Students are taking more than 250 dynamic course offerings both virtually and on-campus — each has been designed with the ability to quickly adapt and evolve with changing circumstances.
  • To protect the health and safety of our community, the school has developed a new academic calendar, made changes to residential living and on-campus dining, and instituted a number of new health and safety measures, including mandatory COVID-19 testing.
  • With $10.5 million awarded in need-based financial aid to one-third of our student body, our commitment to establishing a socio-economically and culturally diverse community is strong yet striving for further growth. Sharpening our focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts this year, we will undergo a climate assessment, increase professional development and student leadership training, as well as review of our curriculum, graduation requirements, and reporting protocols. This work is imperative and will be ongoing.

The Loomis Chaffee Leadership Giving Society advances the school’s mission of developing our students in mind, body, and spirit through rigorous academic programs, an inclusive community, and an emphasis on engaged citizenship.

The Society is comprised of alumni, parents, grandparents and friends who contribute $1,000 or more each year to the Annual Fund. In 2019–20, gifts from leadership donors made up 90 percent of the total dollars of the Annual Fund.
