Leadership Giving Society

The Loomis Chaffee Leadership Giving Society advances the school’s mission of developing our students in mind, body, and spirit through rigorous academic programs, an inclusive community, and an emphasis on engaged citizenship.

The society is comprised of alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends who contribute $1,000 or more each year to the Annual Fund. In 2022–23, gifts from leadership donors made up 91 percent of total dollars of the Annual Fund.

Make a Gift

Here are just a few ways that support from leadership donors help to provide a transformative educational experience for Loomis Chaffee students:

  • Last year, we awarded $12 million in financial aid to 33 percent of our student body with grants ranging from $1,000 up to the full cost of tuition. The average grant was 78% of tuition.
  • 180 engaged and dedicated faculty members brought learning to life inside and outside the classroom – as teachers, coaches, advisors, dorm faculty, club advisors, trip leaders, and mentors.
  • Six students participated in this year’s National Association of Independent School’s Student Diversity Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas.
  • 36 members of the Class of 2023 earned Global & Environmental Studies certificates through the Alvord Center for Global and Environmental Studies.
  • Students earned 459 varsity letters and won 7 NEPSAC Championships and 19 Founders Leagues Championships during the 2022–23 school year.
