Katharine Brush Flash Fiction Contest Winners Announced

The winners of the fourth annual Katharine Brush Flash Fiction Contest were announced by the Writing Initiatives faculty on Monday, April 12.

For this year's contest, student submissions had to include a line of dialogue based on prompts from the notes of popular early 20th-century novelist Katharine Brush, whose writing notebooks are held in the Loomis Chaffee Archives. The judges — author and poet Joyce Sidman ’74, former Director of Writing Initiatives Sally Knight, and former faculty member Ron Marchetti — selected 15 stories for special commendation. The gold medal stories will be featured in the spring edition of The Loom
