On December 3, Middlebury College sophomore Madie Leidt '17 was named the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Ice Hockey Player of the Week for her performance against Connecticut College last weekend.
Madie factored in on all four of the goals that Middlebury scored in back-to-back games against Connnecticut College. She had two goals and an assist in a 3-0 win over the Camels on November 30, and the next day she had an assist in a 1-1 tie with the Camels. Last year, Madie was named the NESCAC Rookie of the Year after posting 15 goals and nine assists.
Also highlighted by the NESCAC this week were two of Leidt's former ice hockey teammates at Loomis: Emma Flynn '17 and Michaela Guittari '16. Flynn, a sophomore at Amherst College, had three assists in a 5-0 win over Trinity College while Giuttari, a junior at Hamilton College, had three points during a two-game span against Colby College.
