Conger All-Star Game Set for Sunday at Loomis

The Western New England Prep School Softball League will host its annual Betsy Conger All-Star Game on campus on Sunday, May 3, at 1 p.m.

Coach Conger during the 2018 season.

The game, on Audrey Field, will bring together top players from roughly 30 programs across the league for a celebration of the season, with each team represented by two standout athletes. This event is named in tribute to the legacy of longtime Loomis Chaffee coach Betsy Conger, whose influence shaped not only the program, but also the league as a whole.

Betsy spent more than three decades at Loomis, building a reputation as a passionate advocate for her players and colleagues. She consistently pushed for progress within the league, whether through improved facilities, thoughtful changes to playoff structures, or a broader commitment to elevating the experience for student-athletes. Her impact extended well beyond a single program, helping to define the standard for competition and leadership across Western New England prep softball.

The All-Star Game reflects those values. It recognizes the league’s top talent and continues of the culture Betsy helped to establish, one centered on competing with purpose, supporting teammates, and leaving the game better than it was found.

Loomis will be represented by juniors Larkyn Domer-Shank and Solen Trainor. Hannah Insuik, a longtime assistant coach to Betsy, will be the keynote speaker at 1 p.m., with pregame ceremonies to include introductions and the national anthem.

Fans who are unable to attend can watch the game via livestream at Hudl.

A full list of All-Star selections will be available in the coming days on the league’s official website under the 2026 tab at Western New England Prep School Softball League.
