Emma Gregorski Represents Loomis in All American Selection Show Game
Senior Emma Gregorski, a captain of the girls varsity soccer team, played in the High School All-American Game on December 14, culminating her exceptional high school soccer career.
Selected as one of 20 members of the East Squad, Emma competed alongside 38 of the nation’s top high school players from fall-playing states, a testament to her outstanding contributions to Loomis Chaffee and the sport. The All-American Game was contested at Wando High School in Charleston, S.C.
“The All-American game was very fun, and it was an honor to be selected,” Emma shared. “The directors did a great job emphasizing how special this was as they announced each of us before the game and live-streamed it with commentators. There was also a book of every athlete who had participated in it in the past and short bios for every player in it this year, listing all their accomplishments.”
The annual event brings together senior players who have earned regional and national accolades during their high school careers, showcasing their talent one final time before they move to collegiate soccer. For Emma, the caliber of the players stood out as a highlight of the game. “The competition was very good, and the level of play was high,” she reflected. “Going into this game, I had heard of all the girls’ names before as being well-known and top-ranked soccer players across the country, so it was nice to meet all of them in person. Even just upon meeting each other, all of us held each other to a high standard, which allowed for a highly competitive game.”
Representing Loomis Chaffee and her region, Emma displayed her talents among the nation’s elite, contributing to a match that celebrated the highest level of high school soccer; the West Team ended up prevailing over the East Team 6-2. Her inclusion in the All-American roster marks a fitting conclusion to her high school career and sets the stage for her continued success at Providence College next year.
