Fall Athletic Awards 2024

The Loomis Chaffee Athletics Department celebrated its annual Fall Varsity Awards on Sunday evening, December 8. 

Athletes, coaches, and families gathered in the Hubbard Performance Hall to celebrate an exceptional fall season. Field hockey, volleyball, and boys and girls cross country claimed Founders League titles. Girls and boys cross country finished second and third, respectively, in the New England prep school Division I championship meet. Volleyball, field hockey, and boys and girls soccer all qualified for their respective New England prep school Class A tournaments, with volleyball and boys soccer advancing to the semifinals and girls soccer and field hockey reaching the quarterfinals. 

During Sunday’s awards, coaches shared highlights from the season, recognized individual players for their contributions, and reflected on their teams’ successes. 

The individual awards presented by each varsity team were: 

Volleyball 

Coaches Award: Senior Olivia Westfort 
Unsung Hero Award: Senior Maisie Mueller 
Legacy Award: Senior Shaylee Moreno 

 

Boys Soccer 

Unsung Hero Award: Sophomore James Drago 
Most Valuable Player: Senior Henry Glover 
Brotherhood Award: Junior Trevor Steele 

 

Girls Soccer 

Defensive Most Valuable Player: Senior Emma Gregorski 
Offensive Most Valuable Player: Junior Tenn Murphy 
Coaches’ Awards: Senior Sara Feged 

 

Field Hockey 

Most Valuable Player: Senior Katie Sigrist 
Coaches’ Award: Senior Presley Paredes 
Coaches’ Award in honor of Betsy Conger: Senior Evie Flowers 

 

Boys Water Polo 

Most Valuable Player: Junior Georges DeVos  
Coaches’ Award/Rookie of the Year: Freshman Benjamin Liu 

 

Girls Cross Country 

Most Valuable Runner: Senior Natalie Crocker 
Leader of the Pack Award: Senior Maddie Van Norman 
Captains’ Award: Junior Maleah Cogle 

 

Boys Cross Country 

Coaches’ Awards: Seniors Jake Delcampe, Lucas Hanley, and Erik Lamphere 
Most Valuable Runner: Junior Alex Fisher 

 

Football 

Offensive Most Valuable Player: Junior Amir Knighton 
Defensive Most Valuable Player: Senior Anthony Rodriguez 
Coaches Award: Senior Ollie Iverson
