After decisive quarterfinal victories, both the girls hockey and girls basketball teams are set to compete in the semifinals of their respective New England prep school championship tournaments on Saturday, March 8. 

The girls hockey team, seeded No. 2, defeated Cushing 7-2 in the quarterfinals of the Chuck Vernon Elite Eight Tournament on Wednesday, March 5, and will host No. 6 Buckingham Browne & Nichols at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the Savage/Johnson Rink. 

The top-seeded girls basketball team dominated Andover 70-28 on Wednesday in the Class A tournament quarterfinals and will take on No. 4 Hotchkiss at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Olcott Center.
