Girls Hockey Wins Third Straight Patsy K. Odden Tournament

The Loomis Chaffee girls varsity hockey team won the Patsy K. Odden Holiday Tournament in December for the third consecutive year, defeating Phillips Academy Andover 4-3 in the championship game.

The annual holiday tournament is hosted by the Taft School in Watertown, Conn.

The Pelicans opened tournament play with a dominant 4–0 shutout of Lawrenceville, followed by a 6–0 victory over Kent. Loomis continued its strong offense in the third game, defeating Hotchkiss 9–0 to secure a spot in the championship game. In a competitive final, the Pelicans edged Andover 4–3 to claim the title.

The Pelicans had last seen Andover in the Elite Eight Championship game, also on the Taft ice, last March. Loomis won that game 5–3 to earn the 2025 Elite Eight title.

The holiday tournament capped a strong stretch of play and provided valuable momentum as the Pelicans improved to 7–1 on the season. Loomis girls hockey returns home to face Milton Academy on Friday, January 9, at 7 p.m., before heading to Berkshire School for a 2:30 p.m. matchup on Saturday, January 10.
