Philanthropy Day a Big Success
A record number of donors — 1,535 — contributed to Loomis Chaffee on Philanthropy Day this year.
By surpassing a challenge to tally 1,500 donors on February 27, the single-day fundraising effort unlocked an additional contribution of $200,000 from a current Trustee. A total of $655,014 was raised on the day, not including the $200,000 match, for the Annual Fund.
“This remarkable achievement is a testament to the dedication and generosity of our alumni, parents of alumni, current parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends,” Head of School Jody Reilly Soja said.
This was the 13th Philanthropy Day, a tradition that going into this year had raised more than $4 million.
“As this was my first Philanthropy Day at Loomis, I wasn’t sure what to expect — but I quickly learned that when Pelicans rally together, amazing things happen,” Jody said. “I am so grateful to be part of a school where people care so deeply and give so generously to ensure our students thrive. To each and every one of you who participated — thank you! Your support makes a lasting impact on our students, faculty, and our school.”
