Dear Class Agents,
Each and every year, Loomis Chaffee relies on its wonderful group of Class Agents to encourage fellow alumni to support the school through gifts to the Annual Fund. Right now, this work is perhaps more important than ever. This year, a robust Annual Fund is absolutely essential as we not only navigate the COVID-19 health crisis, but also strengthen our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
As a Class Agent, you can make a big difference in ensuring that Loomis Chaffee has the resources to continue to provide a transformative educational experience. Many alumni are more likely to support the Annual Fund when contacted by a fellow classmate. Your voice is an influential one!
Looking to the 2020-21 school year, here are a few ways you can best help:
- Get to know the case for support: There are many reasons to support the Loomis Chaffee Annual Fund, and this year, there are even more reasons. For a great synopsis, please read the 2020-21 case for support online at: https://www.loomischaffee.org/giving-section/annual-fund.
- Make your outreach personal and engaging: You know your classmates best! When asking for Annual Fund support, highlight the areas they might be most interested in - whether it's financial aid, extracurricular activities, or diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
- Assist during key times of the year: There are a few times of the year when we need our Class Agents the most - when we hold special giving days such as Philanthropy Day and as we approach the end of the fiscal year in June. Please be on the lookout for emails from me during these periods.
- Stay in touch with the development office: Please keep in touch! Let me know how your outreach is going, and how your classmates are responding. Also, if you need any assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask.
I look forward to working with you in the year ahead. Especially during these challenging times, Loomis Chaffee is so fortunate to having caring and generous alumni like you who volunteer their time and effort in such a meaningful capacity. On behalf of the entire school community, thank you!
