Faculty Intern Application Information

Our Summer Program Faculty Interns will be teaching assistants in two classes; live in a dormitory to provide supervision and facilitate residential life programming; serve as an advisor to a small group of students; coach afternoon recreational sports/activities; supervise the library during evening study hall (a few nights over the five-week program); and chaperone Wednesday and weekend excursions.

Skills required: foresight; gregariousness; industriousness; passion for learning; and curiosity about teaching. A Faculty Intern should have a current and valid driver’s license. We prefer that the applicant be a current college junior, senior, or graduate.

To apply for the position, the prospective Faculty Intern must submit the Faculty Intern Application Form, two different letters of reference, one of which must be from an official (professor, administrator, or coach) from his or her college, a cover letter, a résumé, and an official transcript.

All employees of the school must undergo a pre-employment background check. Our Director of Human Resources, Kelly J. Hasenbalg, will get in touch with the applicant when appropriate.

The Faculty Intern position will include a competitive salary, dormitory housing, and all meals (in the school’s dining hall).

Best job I've ever had! Meeting the kids, making connections, gaining credible experience, and being a part of this learning community made it so special.
